Winonia McMurry was born on February 5, 1937 to the late Lawrence Bingley and the late Arnie Mae Cline in Flatonia, Texas. She confessed in Christ Jesus at an early age. She attended New Union Missionary Baptist Church where she served as an usher and an Eastern Star working for the Lord.
Winonia was united i marriage with the late Joe McMurry and to this union ten children were born who loved her dearly. All called her :Mother" but of course her baby boy called her "Mama". Winonia loved to cook, clean and was a queen of ironing. She wasn't a stranger to anyone. Her laughs and smiles were genuine and lovable.
Winonia was preceded in death by one daughter, three sons, three sisters, three brothers, three grandchildren, 2 great grandsons and a great granddaughter.
August 28, 2021, Winonia McMurry gained her wings. Gone to a place just for her soul. A home not made by man's hand. A home that our Son Jesus' Father said, He was preparing for us. Welcome Winonia..
She leaves to cherish her memories; four sons: Robert (Amy Jo) McMurry, Minister Melvin (Angela) McMurry, Donnie McMurry and Bobby Joe McMurry all of San Antonio, Texas; two daughters, Sarah Nolden and Barbara McMurry, extended daughter, Cheryl (Bubba) Jackson all of Houston, Texas.
