Willis Allan Holder of Smithville, TX passed away at the age of 50, on August 4,2024 in Austin, TX. Allan was born on September 18, 1973, in Houston, TX to Willis and Hazel (Perkins) Holder on September 18, 1973. He grew up in Smithville and graduated from Smithville High School in May of 1993. Anytime Allan had a spare moment, you could find him on the river. Whether it was fishing, swimming or just hanging out with his friends, he was happiest there. Allan grew up on the Colorado River living with his grandparents and mom. Some of his most treasured memories were with his grandpa fishing. Up until he passed away, Allan always kept a fishing rod in the back of his truck. After school, Allan worked at Hampton’s Body Work for many years until leaving to work at Bluebonnet Electric. In 2002, Allan joined the IATSE Local Union #484 in Austin, where he worked until the time of his death. During his time working for the union as a propmaker, he met and made many friends. Throughout the past 22 years he worked on many movies and tv series sets. He always enjoyed talking about what he was working on and what they were building. Allan is survived by his two sons, Willis Mathew Holder and Ethan Zackery Holder, and his daughter, Elizabeth Mae Holder of Kovar, TX his siblings Russell Gaston of Alum Creek, TX and Edna Klem of Lufkin, TX, his uncles Lee Perkins of Winchester, TX Robert Perkins and Johnny (Syd) Perkins of Alum Creek along with numerous cousins and close friends. In addition, Allan is survived by two of the most wonderful men ever - his “adopted daddy” Rick (Donna) Smith of Alpine, TX, and Ferman Lee (Debbie) Hampton of Smithville, TX Allan is preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents Lee (Bud) and Vallie Mae Perkins. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 24,2024 at Roadhouse in Paige, TX starting at 2:00 pm
