Willie Mae "Bill" Keeling was born on August 23, 1941, to James H. Williams and Mattie Collins in La Grange, Texas. She departed this life on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, in La Grange, Texas. She confessed her life to Christ at an early age and became a devoted member of Peaceful Rest Baptist Church. She was head of the kitchen ministry.
Willie Mae attended Randolph High School in La Grange, Texas and Prairie View A & M University. She married Alfreddie Scott Sr, and five children were born to this union. She later gave birth to her third son, Terry McKenzie. She later married Thomas A. Keeling, Sr., which this union produced a beautiful baby girl, Tameka Keeling. Willie Mae retired from Cal Maine after 23 years of service.
Wille Mae enjoyed spending time with her family, trail riding, camping, fishing, attending church services, watching sports, cooking for her family and watching her soap operas.
Willie Mae was preceded in death by her parents, James H. Williams and Mattie Collins Williams, son, Dennis Scott, daughter, Tameka Keeling, brothers, Morris Williams, Russell Williams, Eugene Collins, Daniel Scott, Robert Williams and Lorenzo Williams, sisters, Gladys Gant, Everline McBride, Alberta Jackson, Pauline Phoenix, Mae Williams and Kathreen Williams.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories to her children, Alfreddie Scott, II (Lupe) of La Grange, TX, Gale East (Earl) of La Grange, TX, Debra Steward (Bennie) of Schulenburg, TX, Jennifer McGraw (Charles) of La Grange, TX and Terry McKenzie (Norma) of La Grange, TX and 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, special friends, Ida Dobbins and Erissie Connor and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
