Walter Scott Edwards was born on June 21, 1950, to Walter Edwards and Annie Bell Scott-Edwards in Fort Worth, Texas.
From a young age, he embraced Christ as his Lord and Savior. He attended Fort Worth Public Schools and worked at Bell Helicopter.
Walter met and married Barbara Washington, and together they had two children, Sandra Kay Edwards and Dennis Edwards. He also fathered Angela McDowell, Michael McDowell, Margie Johnson, Sammy Chandler, Jermaine Chandler, and Alexis Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister Etta “Bea” Washington, and brother Chris Edwards.
He is survived by his sister JoAnn Wells (Tyrone) of Fort Worth, Texas, and his aunt Francis Scott of LaGrange, Texas. He leaves behind his children—Sandra Kay, Dennis, Angela, Michael, Margie, Sammy, Jermaine, and Alexis—all from Fort Worth. He is also remembered by his caring cousin Clara Scott of Fort Worth, Texas, along with a host of family and friends.
