Forever In Our Hearts
Vivian McGrew was born December 3, 1938, to the proud parents of Elmer and Effie Oglesby in La Grange, Texas. Vivian gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was an active member of Greater Mt. Arie Missionary Baptist Church of Weimar, Texas under the leadership of Reverend I. T. Hewitt and continued being a faithful servant under the leadership of Pastor Dwight Davis. She served as the Senior Choir President and worked on the kitchen committee until her health began to decline.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert D. McGrew and her parents, Elmer and Effie Oglesby, brother: Alfred Oglesby, Sr. and nephew; Alfred Oglesby, Jr.
Vivian leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter, Zelma (Curtis) Williams. Granddaughter, Tycie Williams and great grandson, Za'Vione Young, Stepchildren, Kelvin (Connie) McGrew, Sabrina McGrew of Houston, TX, Kenneth (LaDonna) McGrew of Cuba: ten bonus grandchildren: sisters, Darlene Thompson of Weimar, TX and Georgia (Alexander) Townsend and a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends and special friends, Elizabeth Williams and Doris Dodis.
