Violet (McAfee) Griggs

Violet A. Griggs was born on November 16, 1954, to the union of Charlie A. and Georgia B. McFee in Hallettsville, Texas. In his infinite wisdom and gentle grace, Almighty God reached down from Heaven and whispered ever so quietly to one of his children these words: "Come with me my daughter for it's time to go home" and so it was Thursday, January 23, 2025, God closed the eyes of our beloved Violet.

Violet A. (Bird) Griggs worked as a Certified Nurse's Assistant until her health began to fail. "Bird" loved crocheting blankets for all of her family members, a hobby she enjoyed.

She had three sisters-in-law, Johnny, Jackie, and Margaret McAfee and a special friend, Shirley Harper who helped her a lot. We want y'all to know that you are greatly appreciated.

"Bird" had 12 siblings, 10 predeceased her. 

Violet leaves to celebrate her life, her son, Gene McAfee and her sister, Beatrice Walker and a host of nieces and nephews.
