Thomas James Axel, Jr. was born on May 7, 1965 to Thomas James Axel, Sr. and Thelma (Roach) Axel in Columbus, Texas.
Thomas "Jr." traveled extensively while growing up in a military family. He lived in Puerto Rico, Washington, D.C., Alaska and California. After High School graduation he attended Art and Culinary Schools in Alaska and furthering his education attended Culinary School in Texas.
He worked various jobs and was last employed in the field of Quality Control. His ultimate passion was cooking, where he combined his talents in the Arts and Culinary in which he was masterfully astute in the presentation of his everyday master pieces. There was no area that he didn't excel because he loved what he was doing.
He attended Family of Believers Church while living in Katy and Houston. Upon returning to Columbus he attended New Greater Smith Chapel Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Joseph Hargrove.
Thomas "Jr." passed away on May 1, 2021 in Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his Father, Thomas ,Sr.
He leaves to treasure his memories, his devoted mother, Thelma Axel of Columbus. Children: Marquis (Norma) of Colton, California, Trey of Katy, TX, Lauren of Katy, TX and Taylor Brandiburg of Houston, TX. Brother: Reginald (Darylynn) of Los Angeles, California. Sisters: Angelina Shepherd of Columbus, TX, Akisha Hernandez (Isaac) of Brussels, Belgium, TeNika Lindsey (Matthew) of Houston, TX and TaMika Fleming of Dallas, TX. Godson: Kyree, nieces, nephews, aunts, and a host of cousins and friends who each shared a Special relationship and bond with him.
