Sedalia Washington was born August 24, 1929, to Nealie "Shorty" and Elizabeth Washington in La Grange, Texas. She attended Randolph High School She was married to the late Neal Vaughn,
Sedalia was a member of St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nealy and Elizabeth Washington; 3 brothers, Nealie Washington, Jr., Freddie L. Washington, Jr. and Edward L. Washington; 2 sisters, Mattie Leonard and Elizabeth Fenix.
​She leaves to cherish her memory, one sister, Rachel Pendergrass of La Grange, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
