Sedalia was a member of St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nealy and Elizabeth Washington; 3 brothers, Nealie Washington, Jr., Freddie L. Washington, Jr. and Edward L. Washington; 2 sisters, Mattie Leonard and Elizabeth Fenix.

​She leaves to cherish her memory, one sister, Rachel Pendergrass of La Grange, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
