Sandra Elaine Robinson was born on June 11, 1969, in Schulenburg, Texas, to Mr. Y.C. Bates and Mary Lee Robinson. She accepted Christ at an early age, and her faith remained a guiding light throughout her life. In her youth, she attended Saint James Missionary Baptist Church in Schulenburg and later became a devoted member of Pleasant Union Missionary Baptist Church in the same city. Sandra graduated from Schulenburg High School with the Class of 1989.
Following high school, Sandra embarked on a career in the restaurant and fast-food industry, quickly rising to leadership and management roles thanks to her dedication and natural ability to lead. Later, she transitioned to private-duty caregiving, where her compassion shone as she cared for the elderly and a special needs child. Known for her generosity and warmth, Sandra touched everyone she met. Affectionately called "Grasshopper" or "Hopper" by many, she was truly the heart of her family.
On March 5, 2026, Sandra peacefully departed this life at Hermann Memorial in Sugar Land, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
Sandra leaves behind her cherished children: Marlon Robinson (Markendra) of Houston, TX; Monica Wilson, Madison Harris, and MaKendra Harris, all of Schulenburg, TX. She is also survived by her sister, Tracey Wicks (Reginald) of Richmond, TX; four grandchildren, Ace, Amara, Gainnis, and Malaysia; and her beloved nephew, Tyrell Robinson (Kim) and his children, Bailey and Bonnie, of College Station, TX, with whom she shared a special bond. She also leaves cousins Sue Lucky, James Shelby, and Donnie Shelby, along with her dear friend Lacy Jarmon, and a host of other family and friends who will forever treasure her memory.
