Sister Ruby Mae Foster Scott was born on March 10, 1959, to John and Mattie Foster in Oakland, Texas, She attended Karl Downs School and graduated from Weimar High School. She resided in Houston, Texas and then returned to Weimar, where she met and married as she called him, Mr. James Scott, her love.
Ruby worked at MG Farm Egg Division and at Utex Industries, then as a caregiver nurse assistant in hospital and nursing homes. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren. She loved all children and was privileged to be able to rear "My Girls". as she affectionately called her Briyah and Matty Mae as her very own. Ruby had a heart of gold, she was a friend to the friendless and was always giving an encouraging word followed by a kiss, hug and "I love you, baby".
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mattie Foster; a son, brother, Herman Foster and a sister, Linda Pearl Maning. Ruby leaves to cherish her memories, a loving devoted husband, James Scott; a daughter, Latoya Monique Williams; stepdaughter, Alicia Eaton; grandchildren, Obriyah, Serenity, Dazion, Raneisha, Latavia, and Juleisha. Siblings, Steve (Mary) Foster and Josie Lee Wicks. Nephews, Stephen, Josh, Wayne and Stevie. Nieces, Forlisa, Sharon, Delia and Wershelia and her friends, Alfreda and Jacqueline and host of other relatives and friends.
