Rosie Madison Obituary

Sister Rosie Lee Madison was born on February 7, 1935. in La Grange, Texas to Clifton Willrich, Sr. and Erma Lincoln Willrich. She attended grade school under Mrs. Mamie Prince.

She later moved to Houston, Texas, where she met and married Dan Madison. Although there were no children born to this union, Sister Madison cared for and helped raise many children and was especially fond of Mark Centurion Byrd.

Sister Madison worked for one of the most elegant hotels in the city of Houston - the Prestigious Westin Oaks Hotel - Galleria, where she retired after 30 years of service. During her employment, she met numerous movie stars and celebrities, such as The Jackson Five and Sammy Davis, Jr. to name a few.

Sister Madison had three favorite hobbies at which she excelled in: baking, gardening and fishing. Many said that she had two green thumbs and could grow anything.

Of all of Sister Madison's endeavors in life, the one she cherished the most started in 1980 when she met the Honorable Prophet Vernon Dale Heslep of Restitution Revival. She heard the call of God and devoted her life to doing God's will. She became a loyal and faithful member of the church and did as one of her favorite songs says- she spent the rest of her life serving Him. She will be remembered as a Godly, praying woman, loving, and kind church-mother, but also, she will be remembered for her pleasant, loving laughter and warm, beautiful smile that she shared with everyone she met.

Sister Madison was called to her heavenly home by her Lord and Savior, early Friday morning on August 26, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Willrich, Sr. and Erma Lincoln Willrich; husband, Dan Madison; two brothers, Clifton Willrich, Jr and Edward Hardy Willrich; and two sisters, Minnie Swafford and Margie Willrich.

She leaves to cherish her memories: two sisters, Lenora Davis of Houston, TX and Vernell Menifee of Temple, TX; three brothers, Louis Willrich, Melvin Willrich, and Charles Ray Willrich all of La Grange, TX; She also leaves to cherish her memories her God Adopted Daughter and Grandson, Jacqueline Marie Byrd of Round Rock, TX and Mark Centurion Byrd of West Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and children of God.
