Ronny Carl Knipe

Ronny Carl Knipe was born December 6, 1956, in Houston, TX. He went home to be with his Lord and savior on March 12, 2024. Ronny attended Sam Houston High School from 1970-1973 and was a member of the Little York Assembly of God ‘Royal Rangers,’, and the Wilborn Chapter of Demolay in Houston. He was enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1973-1978 and completed Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education at Texas A&M University. He also obtained the title of master lithographist and printer while working at the Houston Post, the Houston Chronicle, and the Las Vegas Review Journal. Ronny worked as a Deputy Constable under Walter H. Rankin, Precinct 1, and under Tracy Maxon, Precinct 5, in Harris County, Texas, and undercover with the U.S. Marshals Service. Ronny is preceded in death by his father R.C. Knipe, and stepfather Warren D. Ickert. He is survived by his mother, DouVena Ickert Harris (Bob) of Lake Suzy, FL; Son, Jeff Knipe (Jen), and granddaughter Sydney Knipe of Oregon; Brothers, Dennis “Dago” Coelho (Bridgett) of Houston, TX, and Donny Knipe of Round Top, TX; Sisters, Ronda Rich-Acreman (Terry), and Shelia Gillespie (Gary) of Round Top, TX, & Marsha Ickert of Conroe, TX; Sisters of Heart, Annette Duke of Splendora, TX, and Norma Rodriguez of Spicewood, TX. Numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and extended family. Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Florida Chapel Cemetery, located at the intersection of Florida Chapel Rd and State Highway 237 in Round Top, TX 78954. “It was right that we should make merry and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.” ~ Luke 15:32
