Queen Victoria Williams (QV) was born November 21, 1939, in Sublime, Texas. She was the third of nine children born to the parentage of Charlie and Berta Lee (Perkins) Washington.
She gave her life to Christ at an early age at Orange Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
She was the mother of two children: Gregory Williams and Gary Washington. Sadly, Gregory died of medical complications in 1962. As a single mother she worked hard to take care of her family and was always willing to help with other family members in any way she could. Many who lived in Houston in the 70's and 80's remember her as the long-time cashier at Wyatt's Cafeteria.
QV is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Berta Lee Washington, son, Gregory Eugene, sister, James Delores, brother, Bertrous Eugene, sister, Verna Nell and brother, Marshall Leonard.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Gary Lynn, her siblings, Alvera Williams, Charles Washington, Lorenzo Washington, Wimpson Washington and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
