Perry Petitt Obituary

His Life's Journey

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5

On October 26, 1955, in Needville, Texas, the Lord saw fit to bestow upon the union of Ernest Petitt and Mona Ruth Watson Petitt, a handsome baby boy, whom they named Perry Gene Petitt. He received his education from the Needville Independent School District. Perry was recruited out of high school to the HL&P (CenterPoint) where he retired after 42 years of service.

While cherishing time and enjoying his life, God decided to cross Perry's path with an angel by the name of Debra Coates. On October 23, 1993, honoring their love and commitment for each other, they united in Holy Matrimony and loved faithfully to the end.

Perry enjoyed spending most of his time fishing, hunting, farming, riding horses, and spending time with grandchildren and family. He also served as Trail Boss for Kountry Riding and Roping Club for several years.

On the eleventh day of December in the year of thousand twenty-two, God's purpose for Perry Gene was fulfilled. He transitioned from his earthly labor to receive his heavenly reward.

Left to celebrate his life, love and legacy are his loving and devoted wife, Debra; parents, Ernest and Mone Ruth Petitt; children, Trishena Powers (Roman), Kaci Petitt; grandchildren, Jace Jackson, Lyric Gay, Jalyn Gay, Kynedi Petitt, Ajah Pope and Matt Jackson, Jr.; God daughter, Tatyana Ross; aunt, Joyce Hardison, and host of cousins, family members, friends and a special sister-in-law, Delma Lee (Herman).
