Pamela Johnson Obituary

Pamela Jeanette Johnson, youngest daughter of the late Mr. Charlie Scott, Jr. and Annie Mae Johnson, Scott, was born on November 19, 1966 in Colorado County at Youens Memorial Hospital in Weimar, Texas.

She attended Weimar Public Schools and graduated in the Class of 1986. She confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Greater Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. She was very good at basketball and enjoyed attending various sports events at the school. She later moved to Houston, Texas for several years before deciding to relocate back to her native home. She became a faithful and dedicated member of Greater Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Bishop Jarvis W. Nelson, Pastor and Apostle Shu Wanda Nelson, Co-Pastor. She was also very dedicated and severed faithfully on the Usher Board until her death. Pamela was filled with the power of the Holy Ghost and demonstrated her love of God. She loved praying on Apostle S. Prayer Line and for the people. She loved to laugh, which was so infectious, that you just started laughing and didn't know why. Pamela was well-loved by her family, friends, pastors, church members, co-workers and the community.

Pamela was employed in various positions with different local companies, inclusive of (Perdue Farms) and current employer Dairy Farmers of America. She took pride in every job position and performed to the highest degree as an employee. She loved and respected her supervisors and co-workers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She was married to Julius Vickers, II and to this union was born Julius Vickers, III, who transitioned to be with the Lord; and to Donald Carter, to this union one child was born, Dondrae Raymond Carter.

Pamela is survived by her son, Dondrae Raymond Carter; sisters: Betty Jo Johnson of Weimar, TX, Gladys (Darnell) Simmons of Houston, TX, Doris (Earnest) Dodis of Weimar, TX, Mary (Robert) Veal of Humble, TX and Ida Williams of Schulenburg, TX. Brothers: Ray Charles Johnson of Weimar, TX, Curtis Dean Johnson of Houston, TX,Larry Scott of Houston, TX, David (Amanda) Scott of Weimar, TX and Torrance (Sandra) Benford of Richmond, TX. Aunt: Estella Mae Johnson of Weimar, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

To my Special Riding Friends, I enjoyed the rides and I Love You. Now this journey, I must ride alone.
