Norma Stafford Obituary

Norma Jean Stafford was born on July 11th, 1944, in Hallettsville, TX. She professed her faith and became a Christian at a young age as a member of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Hallettsville, TX. Her favorite Sundy school activity as a child was being the first to find and read the Bible book, chapter, and verse in the Bible challenge.

Norma was a high school spelling bee champion and was in the Hallettsville High School marching band. She became her high school's Homecoming Queen and was the Salutatorian of her graduating class.

Norma worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for over 35 years. She touched the lives of so many children and families as she served faithfully in this field. Norma married in 1964 at the age of 20 and from that marriage three children were born: Regina, Angela and Michael. Norma was a single parent for years and raised her children to be faithful. She and her children were members of Wheatley Heights Baptist Church in San Antonio, TX. She later became a member of Believers' Christian Center in San Antonio, TX and loved the teaching of the Word by the late Henry Adams, Jr. She served on the Usher Board throughout her Christian journey.

Norma loved walking for exercise and making a loving, happy home and providing for her three children. She enjoyed fun times with extended family at family reunions and going out to eat with family and friends.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Louella and Julius Williams, Sr.: siblings, Cecil, Alfralure and Paul. Norma passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024, in Houston, TX.
