On July 28th, 1951 a female child was born named Nina Bell Johnson to Mr. & Mrs. Euice and Olevia Freelon. She was the baby of five children. She accepted Christ and was baptized at the age of 7 years old at the old Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Hallettsville, Texas.
Nina grew up in Hallettsville, Texas and graduated in 1969 from Stroman High School, Victoria, Texas where she encountered loving friends and teachers. Upon graduation from Stroman High School, Nina Johnson attended LVN school in Yoakum, Texas. She worked in this profession for over 30 years. Nina Johnson was united in Holy Matrimony to Harrell Johnson, to this union a child was born named Betina Harrell, and they moved to Austin, Texas after several years of Marriage.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Father, Eunice Freelon, Mother, Olevia Freelon and oldest brother, Aldene Freelon.
Nina Johnson's memories will be cherished by her husband: Harrell Johnson, daughter, Betina Harrell, son-in-law, Steven Harrell, grandchild, Jalen Steven Harrell and his family Xylah Juda Harrell, Shanikwa K. Lewis and expected baby boy. Her siblings: Nona Freelon, Eugene Freelon, sister-in-law, Delano Freelon, Charles Freelon, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, family and friends.
