Melvin Avis Brown, known to family and friends as "Elvis", was born o June 26, 1956, to Marion Brown and Levonne Nunn. Elvis attended school in Weimar, Texas, where he graduated in 1974. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Aur Force, where he proudly served his country for six years.
Elvis confessed Christ at an early age and his faith was important to him. He was a proud member of the La Grange Church of Christ. Elvis is preceded in death by his father, Marion Brown, stepfather, Morris Nunn, Sr., three sisters, Debra Jones, Joyce Nunn, and Melanie Nunn, and brother, Morris Nunn, Jr.
Elvis will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Levonne Nunn, his brothers, Leonard Brown, Sr. (Carrie), Terrence Nunn (Stacey), and David Adams, Sr. His sisters, Marian Lemons, (Robert), Janice Nunn (Russell), and Juanita Nunn. He will also be lovingly remembered by his aunts, Odie Dee Townsend, Lois Ellis and LaGloria Woodson (Charles) and uncle, Lawrence Flowers. He will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
