Mary A. Grant

Mary A. Grant, a beloved daughter and sister, peacefully passed away on February 22, 2025, at the age of 62. She was born on July 14, 1962, she was the daughter of James Athur Grant Sr. and Jewel Marie Grant.

Mary was reared in La Grange, Texas, where she graduated from La Grange High School. During her time there, she was an avid basketball player, a sport she truly loved, and formed many lifelong friendships.

After high school, Mary attended Blinn College in Brenham, Texas, earning an associate degree in nursing. She had a deep appreciation for music and enjoyed spending quite time alone. Additionally, she had a passion for baking, especially German chocolate cakes.

Mary was preceded i death by her parents, Jewel Marie Grant and James Arthur Grant, her sister, Patricia Ann Grant, and her nephew, Ryan Anthony Grant.

She is survived by her loving brother, James A. Grant Jr. of La Grange, TX; niece, Aisha and Clay Scranton of La Grange, TX; nephews, James A. Grant III, Justin Grant, and Clayton Scranton Jr., all of La Grange, TX, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends who will cherish her memory.
