Mark Twain Conner

Mark Twain Conner was the middle of three sons, born to the late Rubbie (Dobbins) Conner and Argentine Conner, Sr. He was born on September 10, 1968, at Jefferson Davis Hospital in Houston, Texas.

​Mark accepted Christ at an early age at Big Bethel AME Church. He attended La Grange ISD and graduated from the Class of 1988. He later attended college at ITT Technical Institute in Austin, Texas. Mark married his high school sweetheart, Tammie Conner Wilson and to this union 2 sons were born.

Mark worked at Travis State School in Austin, Texas for many years, later he started a career with the Marriot Residence Inn. His last place of employment was at Scott Boyz, as a delivery truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rubbie and Argentine Conner, Sr. His maternal grandparents, Sadie and Gid Dobbins and his paternal grandparents, Mammie and Frank Conner.

Mark leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Mark Twain Conner, Jr. and Tevin Derrell Conner and bonus son, Kendrick Johnson Rivers all of Austin, Texas. A beautiful daughter, Faith Conner of Hitchcock, Texas. Two brothers, Argentine Conner, Jr. and wife Phillis and Lee Andrew Conner and eight grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
