A beautiful baby girl was born on October 28, 1928 to Hessie and Anna B. Thorn in Houston, Texas. They named her Margaret. She confessed a belief in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age at Riceville Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.
"Mama", Great-Gran", as she was affectionately known by many was an avid gardener, who loved cooking and spending time with family and friends.
After 50 years of being a loving and caring LVN, she retired and continued to work as a private duty nurse until she was 89 years old.
Margaret was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed by every one who loved her She was preceded in death by her son: Randy York and two daughters, Annette York and Bernadette Montgomery. On the morning of August 16, 2021, God called to Rest his faithful servant.
She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted children: son: Larry York (Kesha); daughters: Gayle Foster and Kathlyn Kennard; 2 sisters: Edith Andrews and Cleotha Blueitt and a host of family and friends.
