KeAndre Hurd Obituary

KeAndre Marshawn Hurd was born on March 1, 1998, in Columbus, Texas, to Lawanda Hurd and Frederick Ashton. He will forever rest in peace in the loving embrace of his heavenly father.

KeAndre graduated from Columbus High School in 2017, where he was a valued member of the varsity football team, playing both running back and tight end throughout his four years. He loved being surrounded by family and friends, listening to music, making beats, taking photos, and working out. Later, he developed a passion for horses. At the time of his passing, he was employed at BMI in Schulenburg, Texas, while also pursuing his CDL.

KeAndre was known for his good manners, loving nature, spontaneity, sociability, determination, and talent. He was a protective older brother to Kion.

On May 8, 2024, KeAndre welcomed his son, Kycion, into the world, marking the happiest day of his life. Kycion brought him immense joy.

KeAndre was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alice and Herman Scott; his aunt and uncle, Dorothy and Michael Hill; his paternal grandmother, Martha Ashton; and his paternal great-grandmother, Maud Ashton-Bratcher.

He is survived by his loving mother, Lawanda Hurd; his father, Frederick Ashton; his son, Kycion Hurd; two brothers, Kion Hurd and Keaton Williams; one sister, Jahaven Johnson; two nieces, Wren Williams and Star’ Lee Johnson; his maternal grandfather, Ricky Nevels; special aunts Yolanda Hurd, Malissa Dillard, Dianna Scott, and Stacy Scott; a special cousin, Keyona Scott, who was like a little sister to him; his cousin Jeremiah Dillard; a close friend, Deme Turner; and a host of uncles, aunts, relatives, and friends who will cherish his memory.
