Judy Glass Obituary

Judy Marie Glass was born on September 13, 1955, in San Francisco, California, to Lee Vernon Glass and Tillie Mae Smith. As a young girl, she was cherished by her father and later moved with him to Texas, where she was raised by her grandparents, Esther (Mama Esther) and L.V. (Papa V) in Schulenburg.

Judy received her formal education through the Schulenburg School District, but she also gained invaluable life lessons while working on the farm alongside her dad, Mama Esther, Papa V, and her extended family. She earned her certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

Throughout her life, Judy showcased many talents, working in manufacturing assembly, retail, and, most importantly, caregiving, which she was truly passionate about. Her role as a CNA at Colonial and Regency Nursing Homes was a source of pride for her.

Devoted to her faith from a young age, Judy became a loyal member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained until her passing.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Tillie Mae Smith and Lee Vernon Glass; her grandparents, Esther and L.V. Glass; her brother, Steven Bonner; her sister, Lisa Martin; her beloved aunt, Gladys Marie (Uncle Don), and Aunt Ruby; as well as her uncles, Wilbur (Joyce) and William "Bill" (Orleine).

She is survived by her son, Gary Adams; her grandson, Phillip Adams; her partner, Larry Bryant; her siblings, Lee Vernon Glass Jr. (Niki), Bozie Glass (Stephanie), Phillip Smith, Christopher Bonner (Valerie), Donald Ray Smith, Yolanda Green, Tommy Grandville, Juanita Ryan (Nathaniel), Miracle Glass Cooper (Tarik); her cousin/niece/daughter, Yvette Dix; and many other loving cousins and relatives who will cherish her memory.
