James Johnson Obituary

On October 2, 1967, in Weimar, Texas, a son was born to Willie Mae Johnson and Clifton Murphy. They named him James Clifton Johnson. He was reared in Weimar, Texas and graduated from Weimar High School.

He later met Patricia Steward in Austin, Texas and on March 7, 2014, they both agreed to be married. They remained together for 19 years.

James was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Leandrew and Veola Johnson: uncles, Ronnie Johnson and Leroy Ellis: aunt, Joyce Johnson: brother, Kervin Ray Johnson: sister, Cassandra "Sam" Johnson and cousin, Tommy Ray Johnson. James passed away on February 18, 2022, surrounded by his family members at the hospital. He will be greatly missed, but we know that the family will be reunited once again at the Gates of Heaven.

Therefore, until that time, he leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Patricia Johnson of Austin, TX: two sons, William Odom of Austin, TX and Isaiha Lewis of Austin, TX: one daughter, Jasmine Lewis of Austin, TX: one stepbrother, La'Keith Dashon Williams, Sr. of Weimar, TX: two sisters, Tammie (Carlton Wilson, Jr.) of Austin, TX and Deetra Nikol Johnson of San Antonio, TX: sister-in-law, Demetria Johnson of La Gange, TX: uncles, Harry Johnson of Weimar, TX, Marvin Johnson of Weimar, TX and George (Nannette) Johnson of San Antonio, TX: three special grandkids, Jakoba and Jamaine of Austin, TX and his only granddaughter that he loved and was very protective of Jaquelynn Lewis: special family Monic, Natalie, Patrica and Shannon. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

HE WILL BE LAID TO REST AT GOOD HOPE COMMUNITY CEMETERY   WEIMAR, TEXAS
