Jack Lenny Frost

Jack Lenny Frost, 69, of Muldoon, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023.

He was born March 17, 1954, in Marfa, TX, to Clyde and Margaret Frost.

He spent his childhood in San Antonio, later moving with his family to Spring. He attended Aldine High School. After High School he went to USL to play football for the Ragin Cajuns.

Jack served with the Houston Police Department for 6 years where he earned a Blue Heart Award. He later transferred to the Houston Fire Department, where he retired after serving 20 years.

After serving his time as a first responder in Houston, he moved to Muldoon to enjoy time on his property in the country.

It wasn’t long before he took a job driving a school bus and working in the maintenance department for La Grange ISD. He especially loved the students and they loved him.

Some of Jack’s favorite things were playing with the grandchildren, working out, running, making beautiful cedar tables, and driving his tractor.

He and his wife, Melodee, were happily married for 26 years.

Jack is survived by his wife, Melodee, his son, Ryan (Danna) Frost, Travis (Mary) Stinson, Gina (Kyle) English, Alyssa (Jonathan) Hinson, and his nine grandchildren, Grayson, Morgan, Madison, Caleb, Amber, Carrington, Presleigh, Jackson and Aubree. His brothers, Mark (Silvia) Frost, and Dan (Sueya) Frost, aunts, Carolyn Frost, Carleen Best, Patty Frost and uncle, Carl Frost, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents Clyde Frost, Margaret Birnbaum and stepfather, Isdell Birnbaum.

Memorial services will be held at Church of Christ, 646 E. State Hwy 71, La Grange, TX, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 8.

Following the service there will be a Celebration of Life at the Historic Casino Hall, 254 N Jefferson St. La Grange.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to NAMI- National Alliance on Mental Illness.
