Isidro H. Mendez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Isidro H. "Cuce" Mendez, 75. on Wednesday, February 13, 2024. He was born on October 3, 1948, to the late Isidro and Felise Mendez in Littlefield, Texas.

​​Isidro was the devoted husband of Julia Flores Mendez, and they resided in Thrall, Texas for 35 years.

​Isidro was a member of the Taylor Christian Center in Taylor, Texas and loved playing the guitar and bass guitar. His kindness and warm spirit touched everyone he encountered. He will be remembered for the love and warmth he extended to all those fortunate to know him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Isidro and Felise Mendez; his brothers, Jilberto H. Mendez, Sr., Pedro "Pete" Mendez, Fermin H. Mendez, Sr., and Alexandro H. Mendez; daughter, Paula Mendez Martinez and granddaughter Crystal Lynn Martinez.

​​​​Isidro is survived by his wife, Julia Mendez; daughters, Irene Palomo, and Marie Mendez and husband Justin Contreras; son, Isudro Moses Mendez and wife Jessica Ramirez; his brother, Rudy Mendez and wife Terri Mendez, and sister, Janie Palomo and husband Paul Palomo. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one on the way.

As we mourn the loss of Isidro, let us also celebrate the richness of a life well-lived. May his memory continue to inspire us to embrace our loved ones.
