Georgia Mae (Duchess) Strambler was born to Ruthie Mae and Ernest Phillips on August 7, 1927, in Winchester, Texas where she also achieved her primary education.
She joined Peaceful Rest Baptist Church at an early age. One of her notable accomplishments at Peaceful Rest was uplifting the Women's Ministry by hosting the annual Women's Day Program, which acknowledged the work of many women in the church. She was also an Eastern Star.
After meeting Isaiah Strambler, Sr., the two were married on July 25, 1952. And from this loving union, seven girls and four boys were born.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, two sons, her parents and two sisters.
Mrs. Strambler leaves to cherish her memory, five daughters, Rose (Stanley), Princess, Michelle, Rhonda and Angels; two sons, Ernest (Anh) and Chris (LaShawnda) . She also leaves a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends.
