Effie Denise Russell-Huery was born on September 14, 1969 to Patricia Bean and Freeman Pickney,III in Houston, Texas. She was baptized at an early age and became a faithful member of saint Nicholas Catholic Church.
Effie attended Jack Yates High School and later in life she moved to Southwest Houston, where she started her first job as a Security Officer. After receiving her nursing degree as an RN, she worked for Chi Saint Lukes for 12 years, retiring due to health issues.
In September 2009, she met the most amazing man for her dreams, Andre Huery. And on September 12, 2015 , they became husband and wife. Always planning trips and traveling all over.
On Friday, January 21, 2022. God called Queen Effie to sit on her throne in Heaven. She will be dearly missed by everyone. She was preceded in death by her father, Freeman Pickney, III.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband, Andre Huery of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Donique Russell , god-daughter, Jamisha Carter; 3 step-children, Andrea, Dra'Swawn and Shamonique; her mother, Patricia Bean; 2 sisters, Monica Foster and Kim Caicedo (Rapheal); four brothers, Willie Utley, Daniel Bean, Jamal Bean and Freeman Utley (Mia); 1 aunt, Debra Jarrett; 2 uncles, Chester "Red" Utley and William "Billie) Utley. seven nephews, 6 nieces, a host of other relatives and friends.
