Earl Thompson, Jr. was born in Houston, Texas, on December 10, 1952, to Earl Thompson, Sr. and Katherne (East) Thompson, He attended and graduated from Jack Yates High School in Houston, Texas. After graduation he worked for The Houston Post for six years. after moving to La Grange, Texas, he worked for James Carlton for four years. Later he moved to Shiner, Texas and was employed by The Shiner Brewery and it was there that he met the love of his life. Miss Keya Hodges. She agreed to become his wife, Mrs. Keya Thompson and they were happily married for 22 years.

Earl will be welcomed into Heaven by his mom, Thelma, dad, Earl,Sr., niece, Kathy and nephew, Milton.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Keya Thompson, their children, Jasmine, Steven, Charles, and Calvin; grandchildren, Antoine, Zayden, Jacory, McKayla, McKenzie, MaKiyus and god son Josiah.
