David Wayne Harrison, Jr. was born on October 1, 1980, to David Wayne Harrison, Sr. and Dr. Lisa (Harrison) Smith. He was born at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
David was educated in the San Antonio Independent School District early on, he moved to Miami, Florida in 1991. David relocated to La Grange, Texas and attended school in La Grange, Texas.
He received several awards as a child to include: Honor Roll, Science Fair and bowling. David was united in marriage to Latricia Hancock in 2001.
David's nickname given to him by his mother when they lived in Spain was "Poppy." In his adult life, he worked in construction. He enjoyed barbecuing and would often pride himself in preparing meals for his beloved family. And how he loved to smile.
David was preceded in death by a daughter, Danielle Fay Williams of La Grange, TX. A brother, Davion Terrell Harrison of Smithville, TX. A son, Deondre' Hancock. His maternal grandmother, Doris J. Sawyer of San Antonio, TX. Paternal grandparents, Veola Harrison Poole of Austin, TX and Rev, Robert Dawkins of Austin, TX.
David leaves to cherish his loving memory a loving wife of 20 years, Latricia Harrison. His children; Angel Harrison of Ellinger, TX, Isaiah Oliver Perez of Houston, TX and C'Mari Wayne of La Grange, TX. His parents, Ray Smith and Dr. Lisa Smith of Miami, FL, David Wayne (Tephina) Harrison, Sr. of Houston, TX. Siblings: Jerrod Floyd of St. Mary's GA, Aliesea Smith of Miami, FL, Felicia Henry and Mariah Hall of Houston, TX, DeShalique Harrison, Daliyah Harrison and Dalyne Harrison of Katy, TX, Jaleesa (Dontae) Gilmer of Clearlake, TX, DeMarcus Harrison of Burton, TX, Stephon Truesdale of Katy, TX and Jeffrey Davis of San Marcos, He is also survived by a host of loving relatives and friends.
