Daisy Williams Obituary

Daisy Marie Wicks Williams "Sister Wicks" "Maw Maw" was born June 4, 1938 to the late Henry and Cassie Bremby Wicks. She gained her wings on May 31, 2021 Memorial Day at Parkview Manor Nursing Facility.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Greater Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. She attended Weimar Colored School. Daisy Later married Clarence Williams and to this union five children were born. Daisy was employed at Colorado-Fayette Medical Center until she retired. Upon retirement she worked in the cafeteria at St. Michael's Catholic School and also did private sitting until her health declined.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Cassie B. Wicks, husband Clarence Williams, daughter Shirley Marie, son Clarence Williams, Jr.. a sister Elizabeth and five brothers, Willie Wicks, Henry Wicks, Jr., Friendly Wicks, Joe L. Wicks and Mildridge Wicks.

She leaves to cherish her memories a son Walter Williams (Debbie); two daughters, Marilyn Jones (Ronzelle), Debra Carter (Kenneth); one sister, Anna Shaw; sisters-in-law Jessie Wicks and Vivian McGrew; Eight grandchildren Brandi Perry (Artrell), Renee Sanders (Tevis), Aderran Williams (Emelie), EJ Jones (Amber), BJ Jones (Brittney), Monique Williams, Delicia Carter, Erika Carter and eleven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Daisy touched the lives of many who came to visit and always finding themselves sitting out on the porch for many hours. She had a regular group that would visit on a regular basis, unfortunately God had called all of her porch buddies home and Daisy was the last one standing. They along with her will be truly missed by all. That porch on the corner at 416 E. North Street "Will Never be the same."
