Cleveland Owens, Jr. was born September 23, 1957, to Euline Jones Price and Cleveland Owens, Jr. He joined St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Flatonia, Texas at an early age. Cleveland was a natural born leader. He loved his horses, broke horses and loved calf roping. He never met a stranger. He would give you the shirt off of his back.
He attended Douglas Grade School, in Flatonia ISD, worked at Celanese Clear Lake Chemical Plant for twenty-two years.
Cleveland was preceded in death by his: Father, Cleveland, Sr., Mother, Euline Jones Price, and one sibling, Ivan Price.
Cleveland and Nell had a beautiful life in Columbus, Texas.
He leaves to cherish his passing, a beautiful, loving, devoted wife, Nell Jenkins Owens. Sisters, Mary Price (Maurice) of Flatonia, Texas and Marie Jackson of Schulenburg, Texas. Brother, Craig Owens (Sabrina) of Austin, Texas. Special Daughters, Thella Whitehead (Anthony) of Houston, Texas and Geralia Antis (Ernest) of Round Rock, Texas. Five sons, Kelvin Williams (Melissa) of Austin, Texas, Jeff Williams (Lendy) of Austin, Texas, Mac Williams of Austin, Texas, Trivez Scalberry (Jennifer) of Houston, Texas and Brandon Williams of Flatonia, Texas. Two stepsons, Ronnie Whitehead of Devine, Texas and Kerry Jenkins of Columbus, Texas. Special devoted friends, Denise Simpson of Columbus , Texas and Robert Ocha of Austin, Texas. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members.
