Charles was born on January 19, 1965, to Charles and Freddie Mae Johnson in Dallas, Texas. He attended N.W. Harlee Elementary School in Dallas.
As he got older, Charles moved to La Grange, Texas, where he was raised by his grandparents, Charles Louis and Cherry Johnson. He continued his education in La Grange and graduated from high school there.
Charles began his career with LCRA and later worked at oil fields in the later years of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Freddie Mae Johnson; his grandparents, Charles Louis and Cherry Johnson; his grandmother, Jessie Mae Johnson; and his uncles, Larry Johnson, James Johnson, and Alex Johnson.
In his later years, Charles married Michelle Davis, and together they had three children. He leaves to cherish his memory: three daughters, Shimeka Johnson, Pamela Davis (Oscar), and Jalissa Johnson; five sons, Charles Joshua Dobbins (Victoria), Terrian D'Onte Henderson (Diviana), Charles Anthony Davis (Susan), Charles De'Aundre Hill (Maria), and Jarret Johnson; two sisters, Pamela Carlett Johnson and Shontai Renee Johnson (James Robinson); three aunts, Denise Page, Marie Hendrix, and Barbara Griffin; three uncles, Henery Moore, Ray Taylor, and Peter Taylor; his godmother, Marilyn Wells; as well as 17 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
