REMEMBERING OUR BROTHER
Mr. Billy Ray McMurray was born on August 23, 1959 to the late Joe McMurry and Winonia McMurry in Houston, Texas. He was the 4th child of his siblings. Billy was reared in Flatonia, where he attended school. Billi confessed his belief in Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Union Missionary Baptist Church in Flatonia, Texas.
He worked at Parkview Manor for about five years, until his health began to fail. Billy was a great spirited person who loved his family and attended all family gatherings, he was the life of the party and everyone loved him. He was always kind to all he crossed paths with. Billy Ray will truly be missed.
On July 11, 2021 Billy Ray was Called to his Heavenly Home. He was preceded in death by his father; Joe McMurry, grandmother; Arnie Mae Jarmon, sister: Diane McMurry, two brothers; Kerr Joe McMurry and Danny McMurry, three aunts, three uncles, one niece and one nephew.
Billy leaves to cherish his loving memories his mother, Winonia McMurry; 4 brothers: Robert (Amy) McMurry, Minister Melvin (Angela) McMurry, Donnie (Buffy) McMurry and Bobby McMurry all of San Antonio, Texas. Two sisters, Barbara McMurry and Sarah Nolden of Houston, Texas. His son, Frankie Sidney and a very special friend, Tasha Johnson and a very special cousin who cared for him Mamie, His Top Dog #1 Carl Gordon and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
