Barbara Babcock

Barbara Babcock (formerly of Lufkin, TX) passed away in La Grange on May 10. She was born on December 18, 1939 in Hillsdale, Michigan. She married Walter Green of Burkburnett, TX on August 2, 1969, and survived by their 3 sons: Eric (Deanna) Green of La Grange, Walter, Jr (Colleen) Green of Montgomery, TX, Gary (Cheryl) Green of Nashville, TN. and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several pets all of whom she loved dearly.

Special thanks to friends David and JoAnn Whitehurst of Nacogdoches and the Monument Hill and Gracia Hospice staff who cared for Barbara at the end of her life.  

Graveside services will be held at La Grange City Cemetery on May 15, 2023. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Gardenia Janssen Animal Shelter (La Grange) or Meals on Wheels Rural Capital Area.
