Arnold McMillian-Murphy Obituary

IN LOVING MEMORY OF BEBOP

Mr. Arnold James McMillian Murphy was born to the late Laura and Ruben McMillian on February 10, 1954, in Houston, Texas. He confessed his belief in Christ at the age of 10 and was baptized at St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Schulenburg, Texas where he was a member.

In 1977, he met MS Sabrina Harper and to this union 2 children were born, Sheena and Serina Harper. Later on in years he was united in wedlock to Mrs. Betty York and in this union, he gained 3 stepchildren, Marcus, Michael and Angela York and an adoptive sister, MS Sharon Foley.

Mr. Murphy worked for many years at UTEX in Weimar, Texas and he also worked for the City of Schulenburg, retiring after 10 years of hard work and dedication to the city.

Mr. Arnold loved people; he never met a stranger. He loved working on cars and going fishing. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. He had a big heart and would always go the extra mile to help anyone around him.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Murphy; his parents, Ruben and Laura McMillian; 1 sister, Gloriann Murphy and 2 brothers Herman McMillian and Baby Face Jarmon.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Sheena and Serina Harper: two sisters, Lavera Howard and Lesa McMillian: his grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
