Mr. Alvin Ray Moore, Sr. was born March 22, 1951 to the late Sylvester Moore, Sr. and the late Ola Mae Moore. He attended J. A. Greene School in Schulenburg, TX at an early age he joined Pleasant Union Missionary Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, father, brother and friend.
Alvin worked for the City of Ingleside from 1951 until his health declined. He was true to his nickname "Handyman from the South." he was always willing to help someone any way that he could. Alvin loved to watch wrestling and western movies.
On June 5, 1974 he was united in Holy Matrimony to Linda Smith and 2 children were born to this union. On September 11, 2020 he united in Holy Matrimony to Carole Burleson.
Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers and 2 sisters. He was called home to his eternal rest, to be with his Lord and Savior on March 31, 2021.
He is survived by his wife, Carole Burleson-Moore, 3 sons: Alvin Moore, Jr., Robert Burleson, Jr. and Marquis Barrolle; 2 daughters, La Donna Shepard (Robert) and Ashanti Burleson all of Ingleside, TX: 2 brothers, James Moore (Barbara) and Deacon Claudia B. Moore (Barbara) all of Schulenburg, TX; 3 sisters, Gloria Moore of Schulenburg, TX, Eva Walker (Clarence) of Waco, TX and Gracie McMillian (Glenn) of Schulenburg, TX. A special friend and neighbor, Ms. Debbie and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
