Alfred Lee Oglesby

Mr. Alfred Lee Oglesby, Sr. was born on December 11, 1940 to Elmer and Effie (Moore) Oglesby in La Grange, Texas. He gave his life to Christ at an early age and was an active member of Greater Mt. Arie Missionary Baptist Church in Weimar. He was loved by family and friends. He never met a stranger.

Alfred was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Effie and his son Alfred Lee Oglesby, Jr.

He is survived by his precious daughter, Aja S. Oglesby; daughter-in-law, Djuanna Oglesby; four grandchildren, Alfred B. Oglesby, Bryson L. Oglesby, Hailey R. Oglesby J'Vonne N. Oglesby; one great grandson, Roman Oglesby; siblings, Vivian McGrew, Darlene (Edward) Thompson both of Weimar, TX and Georgia (Alexander) Townsend of Houston, TX and many beloved nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
